Prepare Identity Verification

ZAiKS requires identity verification to register an author and their works. Prepare:

  • Government-issued photo ID or passport
  • Proof of authorship of at least one work
  • Bank account details

  • Verification is a prerequisite — applications without verified identity are not processed.

    Why this matters

Skipping or failing identity verification stalls your entire registration — and no royalties accrue until you are an established member.

    Common mistake

Submitting work declarations before completing identity verification.

    Register Your Works

Declare each composition with title, duration, co-writer splits and IPI numbers, and ISRC codes for each recording, via the ZAiKS author tools.

    Why this matters

ZAiKS pays on registered works; ISRCs link your compositions to streaming reports.

    Common mistake

Registering without ISRCs or co-writer details.

    After you register

ZAiKS covers compositions. Polish recording artists also need a neighbouring rights society such as ZPAV (producers) or STOART/SAWP (performers) for their master recordings.

Rekon tracks whether you're actually registered with ZAiKS — and 36 others.

Connect your platforms once and Rekon flags every registration gap automatically, with the exact fix for each.
