Join Teosto

Apply at teosto.fi. Teosto may charge a modest one-time membership fee — confirm the current amount on their site.

You will need: government-issued photo ID, bank details, and at least one published work. Teosto administers both performance and mechanical rights for compositions.

Why this matters

Teosto collects from Finnish broadcasters, venues, and streaming and distributes internationally through reciprocal agreements.

Common mistake

Waiting until you have significant Finnish airplay. Register first so usage is matched from the start.

2

Register Your Works

Declare each composition with title, duration, co-writer IPI numbers and splits, and ISRC codes for each recording.

Why this matters

Teosto pays on registered works; ISRCs are required for streaming royalty matching.

Common mistake

Registering without ISRCs.

After you register

Teosto covers compositions. Finnish recording artists also need Gramex Finland to collect neighbouring rights on their master recordings.

Rekon tracks whether you're actually registered with Teosto — and 36 others.

Connect your platforms once and Rekon flags every registration gap automatically, with the exact fix for each.
