How to register with SAMI.

Register with SAMI, Sweden's neighbouring rights society for performing artists and musicians, to collect royalties when your recordings are broadcast or publicly performed in Sweden.

Register as a Performer (Free)

Register at sami.se as a performing artist or musician. Registration is free.


You will need:

  • Government-issued photo ID
  • Your artist name(s)
  • Bank account details

    • SAMI represents the performer side; the Swedish producer/label share is collected separately by the recording industry's collection arm — self-releasing artists should check both.

    Why this matters

    SAMI is the Swedish society collecting performer neighbouring rights. Without registration these royalties are forfeited.

    Common mistake

    Registering with STIM (compositions) and assuming recordings are covered. SAMI is a separate registration for the performer share.

    Submit Your Recordings with ISRCs

    Submit each recording you performed on:

  • Track title and featured artist
  • ISRC code
  • Release year and label

    • SAMI matches Swedish broadcast logs against registered ISRCs.
