How to register with AIE.

Register with AIE (Artistas Intérpretes o Ejecutantes), Spain's society for performing artists, to collect neighbouring rights royalties when your master recordings are broadcast on Spanish radio, TV, and in public spaces.

Apply for AIE Membership (Free) — Quarterly Admissions

AIE membership is completely free. Apply via the AIE Virtual Office (Oficina Virtual).


You will need:

  • Government-issued photo ID
  • Bank account details (IBAN)
  • A list of recordings you are featured on

    • Important — Quarterly Admissions Calendar: AIE uses an admission calendar where new affiliates are approved by the Board of Directors in quarterly batches — approximately January, April, July, and October. Submit your application well before the next batch date to avoid waiting an additional quarter.

    Why this matters

    AIE is the only society authorized to collect neighbouring rights for performing artists in Spain. Missing a quarterly deadline means waiting 3 more months for your next approval window.

    Common mistake

    Submitting close to a batch cutoff. Applications need to be submitted well before the quarterly review date — submit as early as possible to ensure you're included in the next batch.

    Submit Your Recording Catalog via the Virtual Office

    After membership is approved, submit each recording you are featured on via the AIE Virtual Office:

  • Track title
  • Artist name
  • ISRC code
  • Release year
  • Label name

    Why this matters

    AIE distributes royalties based on broadcast reports from Spanish radio and TV. Without ISRC codes in your submitted catalog, your recordings cannot be matched to broadcast logs.

    Common mistake

    Not including ISRC codes in your catalog submission. Title matching fails frequently due to similar track names across the catalog.
